Laura Spring and Anna Sheard, are Mouse and Bean, an environmentally, ethically aware textile design duo who screenprint their own designs from their studio in Glasgow. All products are printed onto organic/fair trade fabric using water based inks. Both graduated from Glasgow School of Art, and their first collection, which they launched at the Homes & Interiors Scotland exhibition, is made up of six designs available as fabric, cushions and curtains.

Featured below and in our show are Laura's designs. Her work focuses on her love of the hand drawn and hand made taking inspiration from figurative forms and nostalgia. Her work draws from the playfulness of childhood and the vivid imagination that it brings with it, referencing forgotten games and times of immense freedom. The freedom of line translates these ideas for her combined with a bold use of often clashing colours as a direct tool to communicate her ideas with others.
