 
Paintings
Angela is very much inspired by her surroundings and from her travels; a certain object or place and its imagined history, an occurence or view point which takes her by surprise.
Rich in texture, Angela uses collage and found pieces in her paintings; the sandpaper, used to sand back layers of paint in to the composition, the torn edge of a box used to wipe away paint, all of these things work their way into Angela's work so that the actual painting itself becomes a historical representation of the painting process. She works on board, always starting with a base colour, usually a fairly cool pale ground, knowing that it will become part of the work whether it is revealed or not. In fact Angela will often start a painting inspired by something that by the end has got lost, so absorbed she becomes in the whole process.
Angela studied Fine Art Textiles at Goldsmiths and has regularly exhibits her work in the UK.
